VERSIONE ITALIANA SUL MIO PROFILO

This is a zine/slide thing that I made to introduce my friends to TTRPGs. It isn’t meant to be extremely detailed or serious, and it isn’t meant to be used commercially in any way. Feel free to send this to your own friends to explain to them what all this nerd stuff is.

It’s divided into 3 sections:

  1. A “What are TTRPGs?” section which explains some of the basics and tries to eliminate some common misconceptions.
  2. A “Genre of TTRPGs” section to show how much variety there is in these games, meant to get their attention in case they see anything that might interest them (or, as I like to think about it, the “look at how much cool stuff there is please pretty please play with me”).
  3. A “Style of TTRPGs” section meant to go a bit more into detail so that possible future players can decide what kind of TTRPG and what mode of play might be best for them.

I’m putting it here in order to both archive it and send it easily to others.

It’s heavily inspired by Monte Cook’s book "Your Best Game Ever".

All the rights for the covers and images of the various games used belong to the respective creators and owners. I don’t claim ownership over any of it. The only thing I did was writing this and creating the icons used here.

If there are any typos or problems, it’s because English isn’t my first language and I decided that doing this at 2 am was a good idea. Sorry about that. Please feel free to let me know if I you find anything that I should change!

This is a dang good intro guide, and probably the first resource I'd reach for if someone asked me what it is that I write.

The English isn't shaky at all. Everything is clearly explained and the guide mentions a lot of great games by name---as well as going over the basics of how TTRPGs are played and why people play them.

If you're going to be GMing or selling at a con, or if you're a FLGS, or if you just want a good pamphlet at hand, you should pick this up.
